About Faculti Research
Faculti Research is a research platform built on more than 250 million academic papers and the Faculti expert interview library.
It combines semantic search, evidence synthesis and transparent source attribution to help researchers, policymakers and professionals discover, evaluate and understand research.
Unlike general-purpose systems, every answer is grounded in retrieved academic literature and linked back to its underlying sources.
Research Discovery
Search academic literature by meaning rather than keywords alone.
Discover conceptually related papers, exact title matches, authors and topics across more than 250 million publications.
Ask
Ask evidence-based research questions.
Responses are generated only from retrieved papers, cite their sources and distinguish between established findings, uncertainty and disagreement.
Evidence Brief
Generate publication-quality evidence syntheses.
Each brief includes:
- primary conclusions
- evidence hierarchy
- methodological assessment
- state of evidence
- gaps and limitations
- policy implications
- supporting papers
- expert insight
Comparative Analysis
Compare how evidence differs across:
- countries
- sectors
- methods
- populations
- policy contexts
using independent retrieval for every comparison.
Guided Research Scoping
Explore an unfamiliar research area through progressively refined literature discovery before narrowing to specific research questions.
Evidence transparency
Every response is linked to its supporting papers.
The platform distinguishes:
- strength of evidence
- journal quality
- study design
- publication dates
- methodological limitations
without claiming certainty where evidence is mixed.
Journal quality (Q1–Q4)
Search results and evidence briefs carry a journal-quality label, and you can filter your search to a chosen band — for example, restricting a brief to top-quartile journals.
Journal bands provide a journal-level quality signal derived from bibliometric analysis of more than 220,000 journals. They are intended to help filter literature, not to judge the quality of individual papers. Learn more
Top quartile
The most influential journals — includes outlets such as Nature, Science, JAMA, and The Lancet, alongside leading field-specific journals.
Upper-middle
Well-regarded journals with solid citation rates across a wide range of topics.
Lower-middle
Established but lower-cited journals, including many regional and specialist outlets.
Lower quartile
Newer, niche, or lightly cited journals.
Unranked
Papers with no journal in the source data, or journals not yet ranked. This does not indicate low quality — many preprints and working papers fall here and carry no badge.
- 1. The quartile is a filter and a label — it does not re-rank results. With no filter applied, results are ordered by relevance to your query, so a Q3 paper that directly answers your question appears above a Q1 paper on a tangential topic.
- 2. Journal quartile is not paper quality. Important work is published across all bands; these are journal-level metrics, not judgements of individual papers.
