A recent study examines violence in intimate partner relationships among young people and their self-perception of abuse. A survey-based methodology was used with 323 students from the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Granada (Spain). The results indicate that emotional, physical, and psychological maltreatment were the most common types of violence experienced by the participants. Interestingly, the study found that the influence of sex on violence in young couples was not significant, suggesting a bidirectional nature. Overall, this research sheds light on the prevalence of violence in intimate partner relationships among young individuals.
