France has been mired in political uncertainty since President Macron called for a snap parliamentary vote in June following a significant defeat in the European elections. This led to a fractured lower house divided into three sharply opposing factions: a weakened centrist bloc backing the president, a coalition of leftist parties, and the National Rally, headed by Marine Le Pen, which emerged as the largest party in the National Assembly.
