Leadership means many things and takes many forms. But most studies of leadership give little attention to why people lead and to where they are leading us. Barry Bozeman and Michael Crow discuss leadership aimed at achieving public values, values focused on collective good rather than profit, organizational benefit or only benefit to those who own, work in, or have a financial stake in the organization.
