Recent research has explored how physical education (PE) teachers can promote the development and transfer of life skills through PE. A qualitative study was conducted with 11 PE teachers from the northwest of England. The study found that key life skills developed through PE include teamwork, communication, leadership, and resilience. Teachers emphasized the importance of teaching life skills and considered individual student needs. Strategies for life skills development included explicit and implicit learning, teachable moments, and role modeling. The findings shed light on how teachers support the development and transferability of life skills in students’ lives.
