It is widely agreed that the US-led liberal international order (LIO) is at the very least in transition, if not in crisis. Inderjeet Parmar raises a number of significant questions with the aim of clarifying the current conjuncture in the US-led LIO, with particular attention to the academic ‘theory’ (liberal internationalism) that underpins the system.
