Early childhood education and care: poverty and access

Eva Lloyd discusses the impact of poverty on children’s wellbeing, health and development and the need to address this issue strategically. Eva Lloyd OBE is Professor of Early Childhood School of Education and Communities and Director International Centre for the Study of the Mixed Economy of Childcare (ICMEC). Eva’s research focuses on the marketisation and privatisation of childcare and its relation to child poverty and social exclusion.
