Mental Health Literacy, Emotion Regulation and Psychological Wellbeing

Low Mental Health Literacy (MHL) is identified as one of the common reasons for treatment-seeking delays. Furthermore, Emotion Regulation (ER) is found as a risk factor for the onset and maintenance of Common Mental Health Disorders. Most ER studies have been conducted in Western countries focusing on strategies used to downregulate negative emotions. Samiul Hossain discusses related studies conducted in Australia and Bangladesh.
