Low Mental Health Literacy (MHL) is identified as one of the common reasons for treatment-seeking delays. Furthermore, Emotion Regulation (ER) is found as a risk factor for the onset and maintenance of Common Mental Health Disorders. Most ER studies have been conducted in Western countries focusing on strategies used to downregulate negative emotions.
