Using authentic data to teach secondary ecology

Dr. Yael Wyner is currently working on two major research projects. In the first project called Unifying Life: Placing urban trees into an evolutionary context (NSF DRK-12 grant # 1221188), she is developing and testing curricular resources built around Leafsnap, an iPhone plant identification app that appeals to today’s technologically advanced students.
