Research shows that the connection between child soldiers and modern slavery is often neglected and politicized. This study proposes a human rights approach to strengthen the application of international slavery law, highlighting child soldiering as a form of slavery that has been overlooked. Global data analysis reveals patterns and trends, emphasizing the similarities to slavery. Ethical challenges, such as debunking slavery myths and addressing intersectional elements of child soldiering, are also explored. These findings emphasize the need for a rights-based approach to end child soldiering and address politicized cases.
