Competitiveness of Entrepreneurs and Salaried Workers

An experiment compared the willingness to compete between entrepreneurs and salaried workers.
Results showed that entrepreneurs were less competitive in private conditions but more competitive when decisions were publicly observable.
Social image concerns and norms likely influenced these results, with competitive entrepreneurs earning higher profits in their businesses.
