Opioid analgesia for acute low back pain and neck pain (the OPAL trial): a randomised placebo-controlled trial

Recommend Faculti to your resource manager

Acute non-specific low back pain or neck pain does not warrant the use of opioids, as they do not provide any noticeable difference in pain severity compared to a placebo.
Based on the trial results, it is evident that incorporating a short duration of opioid analgesics does not offer significant benefits in managing pain for acute low back pain or neck pain.
