This article discusses a project at Emory University’s School of Law in 2022 that aimed to promote ORCID registration among legal scholars. While ORCID iDs are commonly used in the sciences, legal scholars have been less inclined to adopt them. The case study highlights the challenges faced in promoting ORCID to law school faculty and explains how faculty priorities and features of legal scholarship were taken into account. The article also outlines the methods used and provides preliminary results.
