Aerobic and Speed Training Effects on Soccer Players

Recommend Faculti to your resource manager

This study compared the effects of combining aerobic and speed training with soccer-specific training to soccer-specific training alone in highly trained male soccer players. The results showed that the combined training regimen led to significant improvements in repeated sprint ability, aerobic performance, total distance covered, maximal oxygen consumption, self-confidence, somatic anxiety, and cognitive anxiety. The findings suggest that incorporating aerobic and speed training alongside soccer-specific training can be a safe and effective method to enhance physical fitness and psychological factors in male soccer players.
