Running experts appreciate wearable gadgets for their real-time training load error detection and injury prevention. Sociological research suggests that consumers engage in the process of interpreting data actively within a specific environment. Qualitative interviews were conducted with distance runners to investigate the impact of algorithmic analysis on performance enhancement. By actively evaluating wearable data through personal experience and embodied techniques of knowledge, they were able to ascertain its relevance and utility in relation to their goals and desires.
