Gender information and perceived quality: An experiment with professional soccer performance

Recommend Faculti to your resource manager

Research was conducted on the perceived quality of elite female and male soccer players. Participants viewed clips of these players, with one group seeing unmodified videos and the other group having gender obscured by blurring. Results showed that ratings for men’s videos were higher only when gender was visible. However, when gender was obscured, no difference in ratings for female and male athletes was found.
