A total of 279 articles were gathered from 100 sport-related journals across 10 databases. The identified key human rights topics include equity, inclusivity, public health, well-being, and quality of life. However, further empirical and theory-driven scholarship is needed to advance the understanding of human rights in the context of sports events.
